I have never missed one since I moved here in 1989.
I'm sure all the designers are probably knee deep in it about now trying to juggle their own design work plus meet the show house deadline!
I kind of know what they are going through having my own private hell with a darn deadline. I will update you later this week on how that is going.
Chateau Soleil is a french style estate designed by architect William T. Baker. It was built in 1998, has 14,000 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 7 baths and 4 1/2 powder baths.
I looked over the list of designers participating this year and thought I would highlight a few.
First up is Jessica Bradley. I wasn't familiar with her work so I visited her portfolio.
Beautiful.
Her traditional style is clean and polished. I love this pretty bedroom.
Jessica is doing the laundry room and pantry.
Next up is Bob Brown. Yes I have written about him before but I love his slightly masculine, sophisticated style so much.
Bob is a great stylist......and I love how he mixes traditional and modern so seamlessly.
I've noticed he uses a lot of wood tone in his designs and even though the rooms are well edited Bob creates warmth using his talent of layering different textures.
The rug.
I constantly see this room on Pinterest!
Bob is designing the master bedroom and "his" bath.
Beth Kooby is another designer who's work is new to me. She has a great eclectic approach to design.
Check out this cute bath!
Love the floors in this one.
I am looking forward to seeing how Beth transforms 2 powder rooms.
Anyone coming in to town for this? The dates are April 18-May 10th. For a list of all the designers and portfolios go here
My own finish line is 17 days away.....which is causing me slight anxiety. People....it's just me. I don't have a "team".....so Sherika has to pull this off:)
