I hope y'all had a fabulous Mothers Day.....cause you know....who would we be without our Moms?
I know I got lucky in that department and although I lost my Mom to cancer 13 years ago I will never forget how patient, giving and full of love she was.
This is my favorite picture of her....
Enough nostalgia:)
At the same time I was completing the ORC I took on my foyer. It was totally random but while the guys were wrapping the DR with planks I decided to have them work a little extra magic.
I am going to start with the beginning even though I think I have posted this image before.
You can see the cheetah wallpaper which I did right after we moved to this home in 1993.
I fell in love with this paper...and even though it was expensive [I only needed 2 rolls] I kept it for about 10 years so I definitely got my $$ worth right?
It was removed when the foyer was enlarged by taking out the closet. I wish I had a picture but it was a game changer and added so much space.
The next thing I did was paint stripes.
You have seen this also....and I kept them for about 4-5 years.
Then....
I got a wild hair and just painted over the gray for black....Easy change.
I got real technical when they asked where to start the planks and threw a piece of tape on the wall.
And....I came home to this! Snap people...this brought my brain to a screeching halt and I decided instead of just painting the planks.... I was going to make some more changes.
Next up will be wallpaper choices, door color and new light fixture so check back on Wednesday for more of the process!
Have a super charged week....
