I am home from the festivities of a family wedding. Now back to reality.
Design.....
The other day I was at ADAC looking for fabrics for a new project. I popped into Fabricut and stumbled on a new collection called French General Fabrics.
They had me at "French".
Think rustic, lived-in simplicity....faded gently.....the look you might find in the South of France.
I don't care what kind of style you love personally.....Surely you can't say that Country French [done right mind you] doesn't melt your heart a tiny bit.
The dusty pallet of these fabrics presents a vision of a beautiful French countryside.....maybe an afternoon lunch with crusty bread, some cheese and a long farmhouse table.....cue the wine:)
Fabricut has partnered with Kaari Meng to reproduce these authentic fabric patterns....a well edited combinations of prints, stripes and linens.
For your fabric pleasure......
In addition to the prints...they have some wonderful basic solids in different weights of linen.....many pre-washed for a vintage look.
The colors are Rouge, Bleu, and Bisque.
Reminds me of another designer....Kathryn Ireland. She brought in more color for her collection.....
Kathryn Ireland Designs.
But still french inspired......
This pattern is one of my favorites....although the price is steep....so worth it for that custom look in a room!
I had put these fabrics together a while back for a client....
She didn't bite but I really wanted to do this one:(
Today I have to go pick out the gutter color for my house and the GRAY!
Big day.
Yes it's Monday....deal with it.
