You know what I hate? Mondays. Yup....there I said it. And seeing a dead roach on the kitchen floor when I wake up.
Nasty little suckers.
There doesn't seem to be anything I can do about Mondays or dead roaches if history tells me anything:)
Let's just get down to some design.
It's time to discuss what is going on my gallery wall. [first post]
Who the heck knows.
JK.....I kinda have an idea.
Of course it will be the 11th hour before I actually decide the final version.
Here is the only tip I can offer:
Newsflash.... like you haven't seen this before.
The last time I did a large gallery wall I started with brown craft paper. And if you think that stuff is easy to work with....think again. They were so darn curly I had to iron them.
Not exactly the extra step I needed......but if you are looking for perfection then plan on it.
Of course you can always go the random "throw them up" for that eclectic feel. I am a fan of both looks.
I had 8 of these vintage gray and white botanicals that I purchased at Scott's [years ago]. I went to Michaels to get a price on having the mats done when the nice guy behind the counter gave me a suggestion.
Get some paper and just lay the prints on top so the slightly browned edges will show.
Crickets.....uh hell yeah. Probably not good for Michaels bottom line but I was on board!
I mean a couple of dollars for paper or $20 for mats.
I selected these frames.
Which because I live right....they miraculously had the 8 I needed.
And there you have it.
Hopefully next week this area will be gushing with art.
I have to figure out a good plan to extend them beyond the shelves......
Because you guys are so unbelievable important I will think of nothing else until this gallery wall is epic.
You can see it next Monday!
Here are the other peeps who are stressing over their walls.
See ya Wednesday for the third week of the ORC!
