Styling guru…cook….designer.
I first met Annette back in 2005 on a photo shoot for a project I completed in Rosemary Beach. I didn't even know what a "stylist" was then.
I didn't get to see her work her magic that day as I had to leave to go back to Atlanta but when the article came out in BH&G I was amazed at how cozy and layered she made the spaces look.
Styling….8 years ago it wasn't the buzzword it is today. Now you would never post a photo without styling the space right? Crikey….the pressure.
But back to Annette. I have worked with her on 4 other projects [including my home] since then.
When I watch her style…she is talking at the same time while placing things at the perfect angle and layering like it has always been that way.
Multitasking and making it look easy.
I'm not fooled. You know it's hard.
Let's take a look at some of her work.
This has been a favorite.
A condo she designed for Gwyneth Paltrow.
This was one of the spaces I designed and she styled. That green vase and those apples made it!
Love the simple modern look of this dining room.
She completed a room for Room Service and it was so damn good.
Shameless I know…but she styled my den for BH&G.
If you need a reason to hate….here is a shot of her home in Italy. I know.
Her own home has also been published.
Let's get back to another talent Annette has. She spent the last couple of years producing a cookbook.
For Gods sake….what can't she do.
I went to a signing the other night at The Christmas House [it's the last day to see this beautifully decorated home!] and finally got my copy.
I don't even cook but once on her blog she posted a recipe for meatballs. It seemed pretty easy so I gave it a shot. I forgot to look at how many it made and we had meatballs coming out the yin and the yang. Ate those suckers for months.
Meatballs and scrambled eggs
Meatballs and gravy
Meatballs and toast
When people left my house I always gave them a few meatballs to take with.
It was the year of the meatball.
The point is they were delicious so in honor of her cookbook I am going to try something else. Might have to dust off the stove and oven….but hey….I'm game.
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.
17 days until Christmas.
I secretly love to put people in a panic.
