Hi everyone! As I continue to blog, please let me know if you have any subjects or ideas that you would like me to cover.
Here are some more photos from our Nasvhille trip:
This next vignette is LuAnn's favorite. It is a neo-angle shower with a pedestal sink. This would be perfect for a basement or small bathroom. The palette is neutral, so it would work in most homes. I used the Grecia Beige 30 x 60 in a brick pattern on the walls, the York Deco and Listello accents, the Grecia 30 cm on the floor, and tied it all together with Jinshan Bone/Sandlewood Honed profiles and base.
This vignette displays the new Honey Onyx Medley. The 20 x 50's are on the shower wall in a vertical brick pattern. I love the random veining and color these have. I used the Delray Mosaic on the floor with the Ebony Prince as a border. This is a traditional bath, but this stone could be used for several styles. You could create a very contemporary look by mixing the onyx with Jinshan Bone Polished or the San Dona.
This next bath is one of my personal favorites. It has a transitional style- a blend of contemporary and traditional. I used the Imperial Bone for the wainscott, the Water Glass 3 x 6 on the top of the walls in the tub surround and the Chiaro veincut on the floor in a herringbone pattern. The vanity and other fittings are from Potterybarn. This is a great vanity for smaller baths, it is only 18" deep rather that the standard 21".
The Macy bathroom is contemporary, yet still warm and inviting. It features the Imperial Beige 20 x 50 in a vertical pattern, the Pisco listello, Multi tumbled 2 cm and Sandlewood Honed. I used a Glass tub shield from MTI instead of a shower curtain for a modern look. These are becoming a very popular alternative to the standard curtain. They are available in different sizes and have multiple finish options for the clips.
I named this next bath the Brentwood, after a beautiful suburb in Nashville. It has an Arts and Crafts look and a more masculine feeling. The walls feature Florida Beige, the Hawthorne listello, Redding Brick mosaic, and Sandlewood honed profiles. The floor is Canyon Musk. It really looks like slate! I used oil rubbed bronze fixtures to compliment the colors in the tiles.
I have used this next bath, the Bella in several new stores and remodels. It is Carl's favorite! The walls and floors are Samarkand Botticino. I used the Coffee/Bone Diamonds mosaic as the feature tile. It is set horizontally for a unique look.
