Oh it was busy alright. When you are trying to get caught up before going on a vacation it almost seems not worth it....
Nah.....never mind. That's crazy talk right?
I haven't really posted much about this project except for showing you the vintage map of Atlanta [1888] I recently bought at Scott's.
Here are some of the fabrics I am working with.
I headed out to find a frame for the map thinking I would just buy a ready made black one and have a mat cut. Period. Easy. Cheap.
Black frame...khaki linen mat.
But then.....
Oh mommie.
Dying. I mean what a difference right?
And this one.....
I mean....how can I go back to the ready made black one???
But the budget....
Also it's going over the mantel so it can't be wimpy.
Another gorgeous one.
Can you tell I am out of control now?
I got a price and went to another frame store. I was on a roll.
The quote from here was TWICE as much.
So now what to do. Real life. Budgets. I just came home cause I was overwhelmed. This is me.....agonizing.
More research.
I think I have mentioned before that one of my sisters owns a restaurant called Nancy G's. Her hostess Kelly was in a play last night.....Grease and she played Frenchie.
It was at The Habima Theatre which is Georgia's only theatrical company directed and produced by professionals that feature actors with developmental disabilities.
Here is Kelly after her performance.
My sister and Kelly.
Y'all it was so darn cute! If you live near Sandy Springs stop in to Nancy G's cafe and say Hi to Kelly:)
Ok...off to Scott's to torture myself some more.
Make it a great day....after all it is FRIDAY!
